Before I graduate form high school, my biggest goal is to be content. Whether this be with my grades, or my club activities, my friendships, my achievements, my failures. I just want to be okay with it all. I want to be able to be happy with the college I am going to, even if it wasn't my first choice. I want to be able to look back and remember high school as a fun time in which i was comfortable within my own skin. I would like to have a kick-butt mentoring project that, even though it may not be the "best" out of my peers, it makes me happy and will push me forward in the career area i would like to continue. Along with these are some smaller goals such as being able to visit my Bulgarian family more (I'm hoping to be able to go during winter break - they get so much more snow than us!) and participating in some fun summer programs! I think starting a blog might be necessary to keep track of everything going on, too!
Before I graduate college, I would like to have studied abroad a minimum of one year. my biggest fear is going through college, finishing, and not knowing what to do from then on so I would like a sense of security and having a job already lined up once i finish school. I would like to take some awesome backpacking trips - preferably Europe - and I would also like to visit London. I would also like to have taken as many English classes as possible and hopefully have had some pieces published.
Oh man, before I die, well my goal would be to live forever but unless I step away from my English Lit major and take some Bio-Science-Chemical-Engineering-Physics (you can already tell I'm so well versed in the topic) major, I will not be able to invent the elixir of life. Shame. Anyway, my biggest goal is to travel abroad and settle down in Europe and just write. I will be able to combine my two passions and hopefully make a living out of them. I would also like to be able to cook/bake fancy meals but that's a whole other story. And if all that falls through, it's cool because Josh and I have backup plan. We're going to buy and flip and old Victorian house in an old historic district, install claw-foot bathtubs in the bathrooms, and sleep in huge canopy beds. I call dibs on the room with the bay window, Josh!
I know I haven't nearly covered everything i hope to accomplish but another goal of mine is to be able to play it by ear - stop making plans and getting disappointed when they fall through. WE'll see how all this pans out!
