As you have probably already noticed my name is Bo Phillips. What you might not have noticed is that I am 16 years old, play on the varsity soccer team, am the best procrastinator in the academy if not the world, and I can talk about sports for hours. My favorite sports to play are soccer, basketball, golf, and football. However, my favorite sports to watch are soccer, football, basketball, and golf; although, it doesn't look like it there is a huge difference in those lists. There are other things I care about besides sports though. For example, politics and school. Cursory overview of my politics is that I am conservative, but I do not believe that in order to call myself a conservative I have to be conservative on every issue. But that is a topic for a different multi-hour discussion. School is something to talk about now though. This year I am taking 4 AP classes (US History, Calculus, English, and Biology) as well as Physics and Spanish 5. My goal this year is to get all A's. It is doable but with AP Biology in my way it will be very difficult.

I geek out about a lot of things but a some of the things that geek me out the most are any and all things soccer (especially European, which brings me to my favorite website: foxsoccer.com ), Childish Gambino (my favorite rapper), and good television. Good television is a much vaguer topic than soccer and Gambino so I'll focus on that. My favorite television shows are Suits, The Newsroom, and The Office. Unfortunately, The Office is going off the air after this next season which is good because it is out of its prime, but I will definitely miss it. However, The Newsroom on HBO has just finished its first season and I cannot wait for it to come back. I like it primarily because it raises so interesting points about our society today and the way we accept pure lying. Finally, Suits is my absolute favorite show right now. I identify with the show because I hope to be a lawyer one day, but the real reason I like it is because it has the perfect combination of wit, drama, and bad-assery. It is safe to say that Harvey Specter is my idol and that Rachel Zane and Donna Paulsen are my tv crushes!

In conclusion to my first blog post I would like to say that I am looking forward to this year, and that if I could have any super power it would be invisibility. Also here is a picture of me doing what I love:
