Adventures of a Shoe

I have been places you could never imagine. I have flown across the ocean, driven across the country, seen everything anyone has ever wanted to see. One of my greatest aventures would have to be going to New York City to run in the New York Marathon. As I rested in the closet the night before, I could hardly sleep as I awaited the excitement. I woke up in the morning to the feeling of my owner slipping me onto his foot. We began driving to the airport, and the feeling of driving the car was sure to wake me up all the way. The wonderful feeling of the engine pulsed through my rubber sole. Whne we got to the airport, I had to go through a series of security scans and being taken off and put back on. Have you ever been inside the x-ray machine in an airport? I felt so exposed... But anyway, we finally got to New York. By the time the marathon started I was so pumped up! I gripped the asphalt, ready to take off and fly like the wind. I carried My owner to first place and I, nor he, will ever forget it. I now sit on a shelf next to the trophy that we won, always remembered as the shoe that carried him to victory.
