Do You Know Your Neighbor? (Blog #13)

As anyone reading this knows, I am definitely not the most sociable person in the world, which is why that I am glad to have been seated next to Sophia Whitman Sandmeyer in AP English this year; well, I am now at least. Initially, considering I had never seen her before, I simply assumed that she would be yet another person with whom I would have minimal interactions with throughout the semester. As the semester went on, though, this assumption was proven to be incorrect. I quickly found that, for one reason or another, Sophia is an easy person for me to talk to, which is incredibly rare given my disposition, and I soon learned why I had not known her: she spent a year in Germany! I was pretty surprised when I learned of this, and from what we've discussed, she had quite an interesting time there (with some occasional humorous misunderstandings as anyone would have while in a foreign country). Other than that, from what I can tell, she appears to be interested in theatre, but I have only a small pool of knowledge regarding that myself. As far as subjects go, Sophia is one of the few people I have talked to that actually seems to really enjoy U.S. History, while I'm almost put to sleep by it.... On the other hand, she also has to deal with Physics, Pre-Calculus, and Chemistry all in the same year, which considering she dislikes math in general, seems almost unfair.

A color that relates to her would probably be... green? She doesn't really go out of her way to attract attention to herself and is fairly quiet, so I suppose green would be fitting. As far as animals go... isn't comparing someone to an animal kind of insulting (or am I just using that as an excuse because I'm terrible at relating people to other things)? Lastly, in five years, she would probably be studying something related to U.S. History or theatre at a high-level university, but that's mostly my own conjecture, and I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up doing something completely different.
