I have the privilege of having the end seat in Logsdon’s
class. No one sits to my left except for stacks of papers, pens and
occasionally my purse. On my right sits Jacob Ward. Before this year I had
absolutely no idea who Jacob was. That shouldn’t be taken offensively because I
know very few people at our school.
He is really shy so we didn’t talk much at the beginning of the year but
he started opening up more later on. I don’t know that much about him, but I
know that he has much better ways at memorizing vocab for the quizzes than I
do. That he liked AP World and thinks APUSH is really boring (I may be mixing
that up though) and that chemistry was almost as hard for him as it is for me.
He also is studying French and Japanese. He even went to Japan to speak more
and is good enough to know a tongue twister in it so that means he’s pretty
good. He could actually say it too, which is super impressive seeing as how
plain old English ones trip me up. He also loves technology and video games,
two things I do not understand at all. I’m pretty sure he good at computers
because he always talks about them like he knows what he’s doing but I can’t
prove it because I can barely turn mine on and send an email. I don’t know much
but I do know that he is a really, really good person and he has a lot ahead of
him. I’m not actually sure what he wants to do with his life but knowing that
he loves technology I could he him working away in a computer lab inventing
something way beyond my grasp. I hope he ends up doing something he likes a lot
at least.
