2. Your house is on fire. You, your family and your pets have time to escape, but you also only have time to save one item from your house. Which item would you save, and why (or, why wouldn't you save anything)?

Responding to Prompt #2, I believe that strict dress codes are bad because they are ineffective and hinder someone's personality from coming out as much. The reasons some school administrations have for dress codes and uniforms are to enhance education or to stop bullying and judgement. The educational point is pretty invalid, because students learn if they have the motive to. Being told to wear a certain type of clothing will only make getting ready in the morning easier, and not make learning easier. And, with a dress code, bullying will still happen, unfortunately, even if it has nothing to do with clothes.
