I need another cup of Earl Grey

  1. What is the one thing in the world that comforts you most?
  2. If you could have any accent, what would it be and why?
  3. What would you say on your deathbed and to whom would you say it?
1.  The one thing that comforts me most is from someone who truly cares about me, about my well-being, about my happiness.  It's a genuine smile or a touch of concern mixed with an optimistic dose of it's-going-to-be-alright.  It's from my parents, my boyfriend, or my best friend.  Sometimes it's from my teachers or pastor.  It can even be from a complete stranger.  All it really is is a notion from one being to another that someone loves and cares for you.  That's right, it can be your pet (my cat is there for me all time time.  Her fur is great for soaking up late-night tears).  Knowing someone's heart pulls towards you and your circumstances.  It keeps me going.  Some would say drinking a warm cup of tea curled up underneath a blanket on the couch with one of their favorite books is the most comforting thing.  I completely understand that.  That is what I am currently doing.  But nothing  gives me that warm feeling inside, that cozy burning fire deep within me like Freddie's smile does.  Nothing can remind me of my parents' unconditional love for me like a hand on my shoulder while I'm working on homework.  It's things like those that give me comfort, that keep me going when things get tough.  So next time you see someone with a saddening look in their eye, just shoot a smile their way, and you could very possibly just brighten their day.  Plus, it's only polite to smile at strangers.
