1066 - Battle of Hastings, in which William the Conqueror wins England
This battle occurred on October 14th. Normandy completely took over England who was under Harlod II. He died during the battle and legend has it that he was shot in the eye by an arrow. The Battle of Hastings took place at Senlac Hill. This had an everlasting effect on the world. It changed the British culture tremendously which most likely has some effect on myself if traced back far enough, however I have no personal feelings towards the event due to how long ago it took place. It is an interesting event in history and was a very captivating event to learn about. One can learn several leadership lessons through this that prove to be very helpful.  In order to make decisions in the present it is ever so important to know and to learn from the precedent of the past.
