There is a difference between books and stories. Books are possessions. Stories are life, ideas, memories, dreams and secrets. Books have always been dear to me; my mother is an English teacher after all. Lately though I've come to realize that it is not the books that I love but they stories that they hold. That is one of the reasons I love history so much. It is one long, really really long story that never stops being interesting. I mean who could just come up with something like the Egyptian Pharaohs or Marie Antoinette, and to think that it’s true is amazing. Any form of entertainment to me is about the story, whether it be musicals, movies, TV, books or songs. But the most precious stories are those that are true and that you share with friends or family. Memories, even secrets, are the most important thing about living. They are your own personal history with fabulous plotlines of tears and laughter and a lot of embarrassment and they are always there to look back to and cherish. Knowing that life is about making memories is why living my life to the fullest only makes sense.
